Trading under the ticker BITO, ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF, the first U.S. bitcoin linked exchange-traded fund debuted on Tuesday. The ETF tracks CME bitcoin futures speculating on the future price of bitcoin. The bitcoin-linked ETF will “bolster the broader crypto market and help an entirely new investor class experience the benefits of bitcoin”. Bitcoin jumped to a new high above $66,000 after the launch of the ETF.
