Budget Insight, an aggregator of banking and financial data in France, recently announced a $35m funding round led by PSG Equity. Budget Insight currently offers an API that enables clients – banks, fintech firms, lenders, asset managers, and software companies- and end-users to aggregate financial data and documents, and initiate payments. The new capital will be used to grow its technology offerings and accelerate geographic expansion on a European scale. Budget Insight looks to emerge as Europe’s leader in Open Finance as the sector is currently consolidating around a handful of large players.
