Hero, a French fintech startup, has raised US$12.4 million to scale its B2B payments solution. Hero’s full-stack payments solution is intended for SMEs, which the company asserts are still not well-served by traditional banks. Hero is building a horizontally integrated payments platform that will enable business customers to manage both sides of a transaction, including procure-to-pay for clients and order-to-cash for suppliers. The round is being led by Paua Ventures, embedded/capital and Rapyd Ventures . Further investment comes from angel investors Stripe, Adyen, and Revolut. The platform also offers connectivity to third-party software solutions, such as ERPs and accounting tools, as well as transparent underwriting for financing.
