Bespoke Financial, a cannabis ecosystem fintech and payments firm, is looking to expand its ‘buy now pay later’ (BNPL) service for cannabis businesses in California and Massachusetts later this year. The initiative follows a fruitful trial launch in July that allowed cannabis retail outlets to purchase items from growers using a program that allows them to remit payments after the product(s) have been sold. The service, which employs the point-of-sale software of partner company Blaze, will target the marijuana industry, which is currently restricted by federal regulations from obtaining financing from banks.
