Ualá, the Argentine unicorn, has acquired Ceibo Créditos, a BNPL fintech company. Ceibo offers loans for the purchase of consumer items at the point of sale. Customers can buy items in predetermined installments without using a credit card, helping the shops in Ceibo’s network increase sales. The acquisition comes after other recent actions taken by Ualá to grow its business. With the acquisition of Ceibo, Ualá hopes to increase its Argentine loan volume, which now stands at over two million loans.
