At least 89 online e-commerce shopping platforms were shut down in China last year due to China’s very strict Covid-19 control measures, competitive landscape, and decreased consumer spending amid a slowing economy. According to a report released this week by retail data provider Linkshop.com, online shopping guide websites were the hardest hit, with 32 platforms (36% of the total) closing.
