Proxy, a U.S startup specializing in online identity verification and management, has been acquired by Finnish wearable technology startup Oura in an all-equity deal. The acquisition was valued at $185 million. Oura claims that the acquisition of Proxy’s identification technology will help it continue to iterate on its innovative smart ring, its core product in the consumer wearables segment.
