Rainforest, an Atlanta-based embedded payments processor who recently won a pitch competition at Venture Atlanta, announced it has secured $11.75 million in seed funding in a round led by Accel, with participation from Tech Square Ventures and angel investor Jon Hallett. Founded in 2022, Rainforest offers payment processing services to software companies, enabling them to embed payment capabilities within their products. The company, which plans to use the funding to enhance its payment processing offerings, including lending and credit products, is successfully tapping into Atlanta’s thriving, 40,000+ worker financial technology ecosystem.
