Vellum Insurance, a data and analytics solutions provider for the insurance and reinsurance industry, has raised $7 million in seed funding. The round was led by Acrew Capital, Flourish Ventures, Fin Capital, Vera Equity, Endurance, and 1 Sharpe Ventures. Vellum’s platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to process data generated by managing general agents (MGAs) and reinsurance transactions, offering real-time risk monitoring, actuarial and underwriting analytics, and financial reporting for reinsurers and carriers.
