Valor Capital, a venture fund focused on Brazil and US-Brazil cross-border fintech and crypto opportunities, is planning to raise approximately $500 million for two new funds, with roughly $250 million allocated to its fifth, early-stage fund, and another $250 million to its third opportunity fund. Michael Nicklas, Valor Capital Partner, sees promising opportunities in enterprise crypto companies in Brazil, particularly as the government continues to support the fintech sector, including the eventual launch of its own central bank digital currency, envisioning new services built around blockchain-based, programmable intelligent contracts.
