Wormhole, a developer platform facilitating communication between different blockchain networks, has successfully raised $225 million at a valuation of $2.5 billion. The fundraising effort involved participation from various backers, including Jump Trading (its former parent company), Brevan Howard, Coinbase Ventures, and Multicoin Capital. The funding follows Wormhole’s separation from Jump Trading Group, prompted by the latter’s downsizing of its crypto operations. The company aims to expand its offerings and capabilities with the newly secured funds.
