British fintech and payments startup SumUp has secured a massive €285 million ($306.6 million) round led by Sixth Street Growth and Bain Capital Tech Opportunities. SumUp’s Chief Financial Officer, Hermione McKee, stated the fresh capital will give the company more resources to pursue opportunities, including acquisitions and new country launches. The round values SumUp at over $8.6 billion.
