PayPal and Samsung announced their participation in a $13 million funding round for Latin American open banking provider Prometeo. Antler Elevate led the round which included support from DN Capital and existing backers Comete and Magma Partners. Prometeo’s open banking software platform provides automated access to bank information and payments from over 283 financial institutions in 10 Latin American countries through a single API.
