According to Sky News, Embedded Finance, the parent company of Railsr, and Towerbrook Capital Partners, have proposed a merger with Equals Group. It has been confirmed that the proposal, which involves combining shared capital, has been received by Equals Group, and the offer period will extend until April. Former chancellor Lord Hammond of Runnymeade, appointed as chairman of Railsr last month, is said to have been behind the proposal. Railsr has been operating in a challenging environment since its banking license was revoked by the Bank of Lithuania for AML violations last year.
