Visa introduced a trio of AI-powered risk and fraud prevention tools this week, including Visa Deep Authorization (VDA) for card-not-present payments, Visa Advanced Authorization (VAA), and Visa Risk Manager (VRM) for streamlining fraud operations. The new tools aim to combat fraudulent activities across various payment channels and networks, such as immediate account-to-account transactions, digital wallets, and central banks’ instant payment systems. Having prevented $40 billion of fraudulent activity last year, Visa’s innovative solutions leverage deep learning AI models and contextual data to provide real-time risk assessment.
