Grain, an Israeli fintech and embedded finance start-up, has received over $50 million in funding, emerging out of stealth with an API-based embedded FX hedging solution that leverages the use of artificial intelligence to automate settlement, FX exposure calculation, and funds transfers. The company, which currently processes over $1 billion of transactions annually, previously raised an $18 million seed investment, and now raised a $33 million Series A led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation by Aleph, Vesey Ventures, and Hanaco Ventures. Grain plans to use the funding to accelerate the development of its products and double its headcount by the end of the year as it becomes a significant player in cross-border financial services.
