Forage, a payment processor and gateway that makes it simpler for retailers to accept SNAP EBT payments, announced that all Shopify clients can now use the Forage app to accept SNAP EBT payments online. Forage is Shopify’s first online SNAP EBT payment gateway. The Shopify app from Forage uses payment and PIN technologies that make processing EBT-compliant transactions a lot easier for merchants. In the upcoming weeks, the first Shopify customers will go live with the new offering. In order to increase the number of merchants accepting EBT online, Forage will support merchants through every stage of the USDA approval process, from compiling the necessary papers through system engineering and testing to implementation.
