Kapaga, the UK-based cross-border payments firm, is being acquired by Amsterdam-based SME banking provider Finom in a deal that is reportedly worth eight figures. Finom provides a banking account for SMEs that includes invoicing. Its solutions are comparable to UK-based Tide, and Germany-based Penta. The acquisition will advance the combined entity’s ability to offer payments and banking for independent contractors, SMEs, and bigger corporate clients throughout the UK and Europe.
