Shares of Costco Wholesale Corp. fell more than 3% during Wednesday’s extended session after the company reported a double-digit fall in e-commerce sales, which were previously a source of optimism for the store amid pandemic-related stockpiling and aversion to in-person purchasing. Costco further stated that while e-commerce sales decreased 10.1%, overall same-store sales increased 4.3%.
