The enterprise SaaS firm Kustomer, which Meta acquired in 2020 for roughly $1 billion, has been spun out. Kustomer’s enterprise CRM solution that features omni-channel messaging, a unified customer view, and AI-powered automations, has been deemed a non-core product for Meta, and thus the divestment leading to the startup’s “next chapter as an independent company.” Battery Ventures, boldstart ventures, and Redpoint Ventures, Kustomer’s original investors, are working their way through the markdown of the asset, which stands at roughly $250 million.
