Marqeta, one of the pandemic years’ high-flying fintech IPOs, continues to expand its influence within the fintech ecosystem through its expense management and card issuance technology. However, even with its existing bullpen of A-list technology firms using its core services, including Instacart, Doordash and Uber, it’s now turning its focus to growing market share in embedded finance, of which it has already built a solid foundation through its support of BNPL providers Afterpay, Sezzle and Klarna.
