Rebellions, a South Korean AI chipmaker, raised a US$22.8 million extension to its Series A. The round was led by KT, one of the largest telecom companies in South Korea. The company intends to use the extension capital to mass-produce its second AI chip prototype, ATOM, which will be used by cloud computing companies. According to KT, its focus is on developing AI chips for data centers, autonomous vehicles, and fintech. This is the second time KT has partnered with a South Korean AI chipmaker with the objective of advancing the AI semiconductor market.
